In the latest Catalan derby, Barcelona trashed their city rivals Espanyol away from home by the scoreline of 5-1. Pretty much every Barcelona player was booed by Espanyol but not Andres Iniesta, a rarity in modern day football.
No one can forget Iniesta's remarkable tribute to Espanyol captain and close friend Dani Jarque after his suffered a fatal heart attack in the team's hotel during pre-season.
A fan tributes to Iniesta using the same words written on THAT shirt that shall forever live in the hearts of the people and in Spanish football's history.
This gesture by Espanyol fans is superb. This is the true spirit of football from Iniesta's tribute to Jarque to the Espanyol supporters' standing ovation to Andres. We should all learn from Iniesta and the Espanyol fans. Amazing.
